Onkel, born and based in Berlin, is all about music.
He started his musical carreer with taking lessons in classical piano at the age of seven. This went on for eleven years and during that time he added bass and guitar lessons to his schedule. But all he ever wanted to be from the start was to become a drummer. Like Animal from the Muppet Show. Therefore he started taking drum lessons at the age of twelve, as well.
After graduating from school he began touring around the globe and playing studio sessions with artists of different genres and is still enjoying pushing his own limits up to this present day.
Some years ago he decided to create his own space for music production and ended up having a well equipped recording studio of his own. There he records albums, drums of course, writes songs, composes the music for soundtracks and mixes, as well as produces. He is also teaching students of UDK Berlin and Filmuniversity Babelsberg how to record and mix drums. Onkels habitat consists of people from the music & filmindustry, creatives and talents -
